I would say learning from our own mistakes would be one of the most powerful realisations around learning and why we are instinctively our greatest teachers. Can we then learn to trust the internal learning process that lies within our minds and also our bodies, as what we know for certain is that our mind can play tricks on us however the body never lies.
What about learning from painful situations then grabbing them, dissecting them, and turning them into profound and positive life experiences? … if we let it, the internal barometer can take us and guide
us in a direction, leading us north, upwards in a positive direction. One could say finding the “silver lining” taking that bad situation and finding the best outcome possible.
Therefore, the story of my Yoga Journey has on some level transpired from the above developing over 30 years. A mix of many successful situations mixed in with some very horrible learning experiences. For me what has been consistent over the decades is a keen interest in self-development, learning, and empowering forces that have guided me to this moment in time.
In early 2002 I was fortunate enough to have worked as the Program Manager at the Golden Door Health retreat located in the Hunter Valley. It was in this role that I was able to join personal interest and performance coaching with Health and Wellness.
Over the decades I have strived to find balance as a single mother, Business Owner, and Charity President to find fun and meaning in life, albeit mostly in my 40s, in the wrong direction. Now in my early 50’s thankfully a wiser approach to life!
Yoga has become my foundation for grounding stability within my body, mind, and the very core of my soul. Finding answers and learning from within has been my powerful guide. Learning to trust inner wisdom through my Yoga Practice has enabled me to find the strength I never knew existed.
My goal as a Yoga Teacher is to empower you to do the same.
