All classes have a maximum of 8 students per class intimate practice. Evolution offers transformational classes for students to love. Wherever you are in your life whatever you have brought to your mat this is the perfect place to become curious about the field of yoga. VINYASA FLOW YOGA Vinyasa yoga is a flowing movement between postures (ASANAS). It is dynamic and fun and follows the traditional vinyasa (or flow) style of yoga emphasizing creativity and alignment. Classes are inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations and standing and seated postures. All classes are open to all levels. These classes focus on building strength and stability through the body with breathwork to calm the mind and restore balance. YIN YOGA Where Vinyasa is a “yang” (heat-building) Yin is cool. It is here that the deeper aspects of yoga are revealed. Most forms of yoga today are dynamic active practices (as described above) focusing on building the muscular half. In Yin we work on the tissues of our ligaments joints deep fascial networks and even our bones. Therefore Yin works on the deeper tissues of the body. Poses are held for longer durations and are almost all seated or reclined on the mat. We use “props” bolsters and blocks to ensure you can work these tissues comfortably. It is an amazingly beneficial practice for those who want to balance out the “yang” or opt for a class focusing on mindful subtle lengthening of the deeper tissues. FOUNDATION & BEGINNER’S CLASSES If you are new to yoga these classes are perfect. The postures are broken down with a focus on technique. Do you need a good start to attain flexibility strength and overall wellness in your life? Evolution’s beginner classes focus on creating an environment where you can feel comfortable and supported as you start your journey. While teaching classes I take time to explain each pose in detail offering modifications and adjustments to accommodate different body types and abilities. Whether you are new to yoga or looking to establish a solid foundation for your practice Evolution’s welcoming and supportive environment is the perfect place to begin. PRIVATE LESSONS For various reasons a private lesson might suit your circumstances better. You can learn at your own pace without pressure from being with others or you might just find it easier to take one on one instruction until you’re up to speed. Whatever the circumstances Evolution can come to you or can teach in our own private space.

Vinyassa Yoga (also known as flow yoga) is a dynamic style of yoga. The movements are linked with the breath like in Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa yoga has no set sequence of poses. This allows Vinyassa Yoga to be much more free and creative in its nature
Vin Yoga is a slow paced style of yoga (as excersice) incorporating principals of traditional CHinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other yoga styles.
